Restaurant Start-Up
Had the opportunity to work on the F&B offerings of Trilogy Excursions by founding a new eatery that doubled as the catering branch of the vessels. Led an Executive Chef and Catering Manager in taking catering operations in-house. This included finding the location, negotiating the lease, designing the layout, and purchasing equipment. In the morning the catering department prepares various menus for our vessels and in the evening the restaurant opens to the general public for a pizza themed restaurant.

Hotel Interactive Map
One painpoint identified as the Front Office Manager and Manager on Duty for the Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas was keeping staff informed on property amenity offerings. I custom coded an interactive map that allowed front desk agents and concierge to show guests room views from every balcony in the resort. It also had information on transportation, housekeeping, maintenance, kids club, gym, spa, pool, tennis/basketball courts, beach amenities, and restaurants.
Personally custom coded an interactive map for a Marriott hotel giving associates access to property information.
Included: Room views from each balcony (1k+ rooms), F&B information (3 restaurants and 2 convenience stores), kid's club, spa, pool & recreation, and cultural education.
Emphasis on project succession; interactive map is still being utilized at that propety to this day.
Online Learning
Personally designed and built a learning management platform for Trilogy crew members to learn boat skills, customer service, and onboard talking points relating to cultural and naturalist programs.
Created a modern-day digital training website for crew members at Trilogy Excursions.
Online video training, quizzes, back-end reporting, recognition, awards, and acheivements.
Training videos relating to USCG regulations, customer service, mariner skills, cultural education, whale & dolphin naturalist courses, and drug prevention.
Financial Management
Budget planning: In charge of $10M+ in annual departmental budgets.
Vendor management, contract negotiation, inventory management software, lease negotiation, point of sale software implementation, online delivery, and invoicing.
Meetings on Budget versus Actual (BVAs), quantitative history of outperforming in critical categories (salaries, overtime, maintenance expenses)
Strategic Planning
One of my top strengths is the ability to foresee business needs based on marketplace changes and prepare my team to be ahead of the curve. I would describe my operational planning as being pro-active rather than reactive.
